(SACRAMENTO) – The following is a statement by Assemblymember David Alvarez (D-San Diego), regarding the Legislature’s vote yesterday approving the 2022-2023 state budget agreement between Governor Gavin Newsom, the State Assembly, and State Senate.
Sacramento, CA – On Monday, June 27th, 2022, Assemblymember David Alvarez (D-San Diego) voted in support of ACR 176 (Luz Rivas), a resolution that celebrates the history and culture of cruising, and encourages local officials and law enforcement to work with local car clubs to conduct safe cruising events.
(SACRAMENTO, CA) –Today,Assemblymember David Alvarez (D-San Diego), voted in favor of AJR 23 (Boerner Horvath/Garcia), a resolution that commemorates the 50th anniversary of the enactment of Title IX. Title IX prohibits sex-based discrimination in any school or any other education program that receives funding from the federal government.
