Lorena Gonzalez Fletcher Releases Statement on Gov. Brown’s Proposed Budget
SACRAMENTO – (Wednesday, January 10, 2018) – California State Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez Fletcher made the following statement following the release of Gov. Jerry Brown’s proposed 2018-2019 budget:
“I’m most excited about two new funding initiatives in the Governor’s proposed budget that we have been fighting for since I came into office. The Governor is proposing more than $134 million to upgrade and better secure our voting systems and $22 million to provide diapers to young families in need. We’ve made a lot of progress on funding the priorities of working families in past years’ budgets with this Governor and I look forward to making this state budget one that again reflects the values of our communities.”
