Lorena Gonzalez Fletcher Issues Statement in Response to Jeff Sessions Speech

Wednesday, March 7, 2018

SACRAMENTO  – (Wednesday, March 7, 2018) – California State Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez Fletcher (D-San Diego) issued the following statement in response to U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions' speech in Sacramento this morning.

"Jeff Sessions spent the morning lying, fear-mongering and slandering the entire state of California. As he well knows, it is not the job of local and state police departments to enforce federal immigration law. He seems to take sadistic pleasure in attacking immigrants and the rest of our most vulnerable populations. As usual, he and his boss are pandering to the ugliest, most hateful corners of this country for the sake of scoring political points. It's a sickening spectacle."
