SACRAMENTO – (Wednesday, July 10, 2019) – California took another step toward ending the harmful practice of worker misclassification today as Assembly Bill 5 by Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez (D-San Diego) passed the Senate Committee on Standing Committee on Labor, Public Employment and Retirement on a 4 to 1 vote.
